TLC St Luke'sTLC St Luke's Logo

For people living with mental health needs, TLC St Luke's is a one-stop shop where participants can access a range of support, advice and activity.  We are friendly and informal, and getting involved is an easy process.

Based at St Luke's Church in Longsight, we offer a holistic range of interrelated services addressing: mental health and well-being; the arts, creativity and expression; healthy living; faith; community; and advocacy, guidance and advice.

We provide a variety of drop-in sessions and activities. Services such as counselling, community groups, art studio sessions, and complementary therapy treatments have allowed those attending the St Luke's Centre over the years to improve their social networks, gain improved mental, physical and emotional well-being, and gain self-esteem and confidence.

Reaching Communities Big Lottery Project

Thanks to everyone who joined us last Tuesday for our Launch Event!

Over 100 friends, participants, visitors, trustees, workers and volunteers enjoyed a brilliant night of networking, speeches, information sharing and delicious food provided by BARC African kitchen. The launch celebrated the first full year of the new charity TLC-St Luke's, and also the beginning of our Reaching Communities Big Lottery grant funded project that enables us to continue providing our excellent Mental Health Drop In projects. The Drop Ins allow people attending to develop their social networks, build up confidence and resilience; get involved in activity such as massage, art, excercise, cookery club, advice sessions and trips, and take part in running the project through volunteer opportunities. At St Luke's we have an open door policy, where everyone is welcomed, not analysed or judged. At the same time we hope that people attending will take advantage of the opportunities on offer as and when they feel able to do so. Read more about our work here on the website.

"A grass roots organisation, motivated by genuine concern for the well-being of others, at the centre of which are core values of kindness, warmth, a listening ear and an open door. Through this combination, all the activities on offer seek to bring about a sense of wholesness and healing."
